Big meadow boarding
at Blankenship farms
The equestrian destination in south-central Alaska.

One of the largest pastures available to the public
At Blankenship Farms, we offer 160 acres of pristine Alaska grazing land for your horse to roam. Our top priority is your horse's well-being, which is why we rely on veterinary and farrier expertise, daily interaction, and regular inspections to maintain a safe and healthy environment. We strive to provide a boarding experience that is as close to a horse's natural habitat as possible, with practices such as paddock rotation, field turnover, and personalized herd selection to enhance each horse's quality of life. With a limited number of boarding spaces, we aim to maintain a comfortable ratio of two acres per horse to ensure a comfortable and spacious environment for all.
a dedicated team
Each generation of the Blankenship family has raised, trained, and owned horses beginning in the 1600s. We are thrilled to continue this family tradition in Alaska. We live on-site, not more than two minutes from your horse. Each horse in our care receives the same love and attention as our own. For every member of our team of nine, caring for your animal is not just our business, it is our passion.

Nutritional experts
Your horse's diet will receive more attention from us than any other stable. Because we raise every strand of grass they eat. Our business and professional goal is to provide Alaska with the best quality hay, grown right here in the state. Speaking of which, your horse will forage the very same field their hay comes from. Just like nature intended, leading to a much happier, and healthier horse.
